Busnelli, the famous brand from Brianza, is a symbol of Italian design throughout the world.
The acquisition of the Busnelli brand, a manufacturer of top-of-the-range upholstered furniture established in the Sixties, reiterates the vision of the holding company to expand into high-end market segments using brand strategies. Significant investments into its products and its organisation and distribution strategy are planned.
Projects and partnerships with both its usual and new designers are also in the pipeline to create exclusive collections which capitalise on the strength of the brand’s heritage and its iconic products, and to bring important innovations to the style, materials, research and design of the products.
Busnelli has rewritten the history books of Italian furnishing design. The brand, with its signature silver logo, was founded in the late 50s by Franco Busnelli and produced iconic products like the Fiocco lounge chair (designed by Gianni Pareschi in the 70s) and the Libro chair (Gianni Pareschi and Umberto Orsoni), both chosen by MoMA in New York for its permanent collection, as well as Piumotto (designed by BStudio-Marco Boga).
Throughout its history, Busnelli has embraced innovation, research and state-of-the-art design, the same values and guidelines the holding company has adopted for all the companies in the group.
